Comprehensive Home Contents Cover
i-Home 2.0 Protection Insurance protects against loss of or damage to home contents in the unfortunate event of accidents such as fire, typhoon, burglary, and theft up to HK$800,000. For valuable items, the cover is up to HK$15,000 per item, set or collection, or up to HK$266,000 in aggregate amount per year and also cover accidental damage to your mobile phone/tablet or laptop computer. Only HK$500 excess will be imposed on general claims unless specified.

Third-Party Liability Cover up to HK$8,000,000
Whether you are the landlord (occupier) or tenant, you can rest assured you will enjoy a full liability cover up to HK$8,000,000 in the event of your negligence causing third party injury or property damage.

Free Worldwide Protection of Personal Belongings
Your family members and you can also be protected overseas. Wherever you travel, your personal belongings or valuables that you carry are protected against loss or damage at no additional cost.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. The premises or building to be insured must be less than 46 years of age.
  2. The premises or building to be insured must be for residential use. No industrial or commercial buildings will be covered.
  3. The premises or building to be insured must be your family's and your principal place of residence located in Hong Kong SAR.
  4. The premises or building to be insured must be not a sub-divided home or sub-let premises.
  5. The premises to be insured is not a village house / bungalow /duplex house / townhouse / detached house or the likes.
  6. The premises to be insured must not be situated on ground floor or not include any kind of roof/rooftop.
  7. The premises to be insured must be built of and roofed with bricks, stones or concrete, and must have no illegal structure or outbuilding items or any household improvements made of glass, metal, plastic or the like (Not applicable to non-structural indoor items).
  8. The policy does not cover any home contents in an open area or on a roof/rooftop.
  9. An enforceable Tenancy Agreement shall be effective on/before the policy effective date and agree to present the Tenancy Agreement upon request.
  10. You and your family must comply with all statutory obligations and take reasonable steps to prevent loss or damage; and to maintain any insured property in good condition and sound repair; if the premises to be insured is constructed with an open kitchen, the relevant fire safety rules and regulations must be complied; and to fulfill the requirement of the deed of mutual covenant, any other relevant regulations or statutory instruments relating to the building and your home; Contravention of any regulatory requirements or rules may invalidate the coverage provided by this policy.
  11. All the insurance products offered on this document are underwritten by MSIG Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited ("MSIG"). MSIG reserves the right of final approval.
